Richmond, RI - The Richmond–Carolina Fire District responded to a reported dwelling fire in the Shannock Hill area after reports indicated flames spreading up the side of a residence, prompting a first alarm response.

Car 603 arrived first on scene and reported the fire had already been knocked down using water from a nearby pool before crews fully engaged. Firefighters confirmed the fire originated from a portable generator operating outside the home, which ignited dry grass and debris.

Crews ensured the fire was fully extinguished and checked for any further extension to the structure. No injuries were reported.
