Garage Fire Contained in Punch Bowl Area with Mutual Aid Response
Richmond, RI - Fire crews were dispatched late this morning for a reported smoke investigation in the Punch Bowl area, where Richmond Police arrived first and reported a garage fire. A first alarm was struck prior to fire department arrival.
First-arriving units found a well-involved detached garage fire. Crews were able to contain the fire to the garage, preventing extension to nearby structures.
Responding units included Engine 611, Engine 617, Tower 615, Tower 625, and Battalion 614, with mutual aid from Hope Valley, West Kingston, Ashaway, and Exeter Fire Departments #1 and #2. Hope Valley Ambulance also assisted on scene, along with the Providence Canteen providing rehab support.
