Clarksboro, N.J. — June 25 — After an industrial fire was reported at the Monroe Energy refinery in Trainer, Pennsylvania, which is located across the Delaware River from Logan Township, East Greenwich Township Fire & Rescue kept an eye on the situation. A massive smoke plume from the fire was seen throughout the area. While rescuers kept an eye out for any changes, officials stated that Gloucester County benefited from wind conditions.

While the Logan Township Fire Department, Paulsboro Refinery Fire Department, and other public safety agencies provided assistance at the incident, the department cooperated with regional emergency management and hazardous materials officials. While continuing to monitor conditions and support regional emergency operations, East Greenwich teams were ready to offer mutual aid upon request.
