Coopersburg - Around midnight on June 22nd, Lehigh County 911 dispatched the fire company to a four bay, one and one half story garage fire in the rear of 321 N. 5th St. Chief 4 arrived at the scene to find he had heavy fire showing and requested a second alarm. Due to the borough’s location, mutual aid companies from Bucks, Montgomery, Northampton as well as Lehigh county were called to assist. Later, command requested additional tankers and a rehab unit to the scene. A combination of ground lines and a ladder pipe were used to extinguish the fire.
