Dumont Firefighters Assist in Battling Massive Multi-Alarm Blaze in Englewood Cliffs

Dumont, NJ - The Dumont Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid to the Englewood Cliffs Fire Department during a multiple-alarm commercial structure fire, with Chiefs 210 and 211 and Engine 3 responding to the incident.


Initially assigned to provide station coverage, Engine 3 was later deployed to the fire scene, where firefighters worked deep inside the building to locate and extinguish hidden pockets of fire. Chief 210 served as the incident Safety Officer while crews remained on scene for approximately five hours.


Later in the day, Chief 210 and Engine 5 returned to assist with master stream operations and relay pumping as overhaul and suppression efforts continued.
