Fairfield, NJ - The Fairfield Fire Department responded to a reported commercial fire alarm at a large warehouse, where crews encountered smoke conditions upon arrival and requested mutual aid.

Firefighters from Engine 1, Ladder 1, and Engine 2 made entry into the structure and located a small fire that was already being controlled by the building’s automatic sprinkler system.

Crews quickly extinguished the remaining fire and carried out ventilation operations to remove smoke from the building. Due to the early activation of the sprinkler system and the rapid, coordinated response of firefighters, the incident was contained with minimal damage.
