At approximately 1735 hours on June 20, 2026, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room transmitted a Camden box for a reported fire at 553 Chestnut Street. First arriving units encountered a two story ordinary constructed dwelling heavily involved and extending to a larger attached two story similar constructed building. Both buildings had previous fires. First arriving units operated with two and a halfs and deck guns while leaving room for Tower Ladder 3 in the front of the building. Tower Ladder 3 operated with its master stream from Division A and Ladder Company 1 operated its aerial stream from Division B. The bulk of the heavy fire was quickly knocked, but companies had to operate for extended times due to the unsafe structural condition and it being a complete defensive operation. A primary search of the first floor of the original fire building and Exposure D proved negative.
