PATERSON, NJ - On June 21st at 6:30 p.m., the Paterson FD responded to a working fire in a single-family home in a park-like residential setting on Manor Ave. Arriving units found heavy fire from the B-C corner of the house, with extension through the roof. Ladder 3 extended their stick and began to attack the fire from above. Units began an interior attack, but were pulled out due to the volume of fire and solar panels that were located on the roof. Once the roof collapsed inward, the interior attack resumed and the fire was quickly contained. Damage to the second-floor of the home was extensive. There were no injuries, and units began calling back in service within the hour. Deputy Chief AJ Woods was officer in charge.
