The Shrewsbury Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision near the junction of Main Street and South Street on May 25.

Following reports of the incident, officials claimed that Westborough EMS, Shrewsbury Police, Engine 2, and Engine 3 arrived at the scene. EMS workers assessed the affected people and attended to minor wounds.

Firefighters stayed on the scene to help with road cleanup, hazard mitigation, and traffic management. While crews worked and waited for a towing company to arrive to remove the damaged automobiles, eastbound traffic was partially halted.

After cleanup efforts were finished, the road was reopened and the event was brought under control without any serious injuries.
