Multi-Agency Response Contains 2.5-Acre Brush Fire Near Hotel

West Greenwich, RI - Firefighters contained a 2.5-acre brush fire behind the Super 8 Hotel following a coordinated response involving multiple mutual aid agencies.
With assistance from the West Greenwich Police Department's drone unit, crews quickly located the active fire and worked under challenging conditions to prevent further spread. Additional departments from across the region responded to support firefighting operations while helping manage other emergency calls occurring at the same time.
The fire was successfully contained, and its cause remains under investigation by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.
