On Sunday June 12th 2022 at 2:04pm the Center Moriches Fire Department and Suffolk County Police Department we’re dispatched to Beachfern Road and Montauk Highway for a reported Motor Vehicle Accident. Center Moriches Fire Department Engine 1 (5-4-1), First Responder 80 (5-4-80), and Ambulance 16 (5-4-16) quickly went on the road and arrived on scene seconds later with the accident being a block over from there fire house. Units arriving on scene had encountered a 2 car motor vehicle accident with heavy damage and debris in the road way. The crew from Engine 1 started to secure both vehicles by disconnecting both vehicle batteries and cleaning debris from the road way. The crew from Ambulance 16 started to evaluate the patients involved in the accident. One person was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. One person was treated and released on scene. Center Moriches Fire Department Second Assistant Chief Brian Deedy (5-4-32) was in command of the incident. All Center Moriches Fire Department units went back in service after 10 minutes of operating on scene.
