(OCALA, FL.) June 15, 2022 – On Wednesday, June 15, Ocala Fire Rescue responded to a commercial structure fire report at 5:30 p.m.
Employees evacuated the building while units were en route.
Upon arrival at Hydrologic, 1417 SW 17th St., Engines 1, 3, and 4, Rescue 1, Tower 1, a Safety Officer, and Battalion Chiefs 11 and 22 found the back of a semi-truck, a dumpster, and part of an exterior wall in flames.
Engine 1 and Rescue 1 began fighting the fire on the back of the semi-truck, knocking down the fire within three minutes. Crews moved to the dumpster fire with Engine 4's fire suppression support - attacking the dumpster and wall fire simultaneously.
Engine 3 completed a structural search, and Tower 1 laddered the building to check for fire extension to the roof.
The fire was knocked down in all three areas by 5:42 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Ocala Police Department also responded.
