Two Firefighters Injured Battling Ridgefield Park House Fire

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ - On June 13th at 6:47 p.m., the Ridgefield Park Fire Department was dispatched to 96 7th St. for a reported fire. Assistant Chief Zardoya arrived on scene with smoke and fire showing and transmitted the working fire, bringing mutual aid from Bogota, Hackensack and Teaneck to the scene. Companies arrived and began an aggressive interior attack while conducting searches on all floors of the home. A second alarm was transmitted, with companies from Englewood, Leonia and Little Ferry providing firehouse coverage in the Village. The fire is being investigated by the Bureau of Fire Prevention. There were no reported injuries by the occupants, but two firefighters were transported to Holy Name Medical Center for injuries.
