Rockport Fire Department personnel were called to 10 Wolf Hill Road in Gloucester at 12:59 a.m. on June 8th to help with a second-alarm building fire.
According to officials, Engine 3 responded as part of the mutual assistance assignment, and firemen started working as soon as they arrived, supporting companies who were already working there. During major fire disasters that call for more personnel and resources, the response demonstrated the value of regional cooperation and mutual aid relationships.
Before being removed from the scene at around 2:21 a.m., Rockport firemen were on the scene for over an hour. After that, crews went back to Fire Headquarters to continue serving the neighborhood.
