Clinton Firefighters Responded to Vehicle in River

CLINTON, CT — May 10th — Early on Sunday morning, the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department responded to a car that had fallen off a 15-foot embankment and into a river. After arriving, firefighters collaborated with other emergency personnel to secure the area and support operations. Vehicle-related incidents in waterways necessitate careful coordination to manage recovery efforts, vehicle stability, and occupant safety.


Located at 35 E. Main St., the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department routinely receives training for water-related emergencies and technical rescue. Until the situation was under control and recovery efforts started, crews stayed on the scene. No other information was made public right away.
