Firefighters Memorial Sunday 2025

Fall River, Ma. On Sunday June 8th. past and present firefighters and their families along the families of deceased members gathered to honor Fall River Firefighters who died in the line of duty.

Everyone gathered at the Firefighters Memorial in Kennedy Park, while the firefighters mustered at the opposite side of the park to march to the memorial. Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon opened the ceremony before introducing Association President CJ Ponte for his remarks. Fire Department Chaplin Fr. Michael Racine offered a solemn prayer, a wreath of flowers was laid at the Memorial and the flag was lowered to half-staff. A ceremonial bell was then rung as each name of a deceased members was read aloud. Then the signal 555 was rung to signify the alarm code for a deceased member.
