Attleboro Fire Department Responds to Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 95 Near Exit 6

Attleboro, MA - The Attleboro Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 North near Exit 6 on Friday morning, Feb. 27.


At approximately 9:21 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the scene following reports of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, crews discovered minor damage to a group home van that had been transporting seven residents and four staff members at the time of the crash.


All 11 occupants of the van were evaluated at the scene. Although most reported minor or no injuries, group home policy required that all occupants be transported to local hospitals for further evaluation. The Attleboro and North Attleboro Fire Departments handled the transport.


The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash was not injured.


Fire departments from Central Falls, Rhode Island, Mansfield, and Plainville provided mutual aid during the response. The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police
