Hernando, FL Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a brush fire in the 16000 block of Ponce De Leon Blvd in Brooksville.
Engine 10 crews, who were less than a mile away conducting special operations training, were able to respond immediately and bring the fire under control before it could spread.
Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the blaze, limiting its impact to the immediate area. The cause of the fire was determined to be a remote-controlled aircraft that crashed prior to ignition. No injuries were reported.
