At 6:52 on Saturday, June 7th the East Lyme Fire Department with L&M Medic 12 and the CT State Police were dispatched to Interstate 95 Northbound prior to Exit 72 for a car versus tractor trailer with fire. Engine 22 arrived reporting a vehicle with heavy rear end damage, with the cab of the tractor trailer well involved. 

At 7:05, command asked for a water supply task force and then added Norwich’s foam trailer. An Engine from Waterford and Old Lyme were then requested with a Waterford Ambulance as well. Tankers responded from Chesterfield, Oakdale, Old Lyme, Salem and Lyme.
