Cape Coral, FL - Cape Coral hazardous materials technicians safely mitigated a leaking propane tank at the Cape Coral Junior Football field, located behind Caloosa Middle School.

Crews utilized a flare-off kit to burn off the remaining propane in a controlled manner, eliminating the hazard. Once the tank was safely emptied, it was removed from the scene by a propane company.

No impact to the school or students was reported, and the area was secured without further incident.
