Cape Coral, FL - Cape Coral firefighters responded to a vehicle submerged in a canal at the Burnt Store boat ramp. Upon arrival, crews found one occupant already out of the vehicle.

Dive teams conducted a thorough search of the vehicle and surrounding water to ensure no additional occupants were inside.

The individual was transported for evaluation due to chest pains. One firefighter was also treated for a minor hand injury sustained during the response.

The scene was secured after crews confirmed no further hazards or victims.
