Savannah, GA - Savannah Fire Department crews responded to the 1300 block of E 37th Street for a reported residential structure fire, with heavy smoke and flames visible upon arrival.

Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack and brought the fire under control within minutes, limiting further damage to the structure.

One individual sustained injuries and was transported by EMS for treatment. The resident will be displaced as a result of the fire.

Crews remained on scene to conduct overhaul operations and ensure all hazards were mitigated.
