Savannah, GA - Savannah Fire Department crews responded to the 300 block of West River Street for a reported person in the Savannah River.

Units arrived and initiated a coordinated water rescue operation, quickly locating the individual in the water. Firefighters safely removed the person from the river and brought them to shore.

The incident was resolved without further complications, and the individual was safely turned over to awaiting personnel on scene.
