Multi-Agency Response Leads to Successful Water Rescue in Flagler Beach

FLAGLER BEACH, FL — June 2nd — Following reports of four people in trouble in the water, crews from the Flagler Beach Fire Department, Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue, and Flagler Beach Police Department responded to an ocean rescue near Break Awayz. Responders found all four victims when they arrived and went into the ocean to perform rescue efforts. The four people were taken out of the water safely.


Flagler County Fire Rescue took two young people in stable condition to a nearby hospital for assessment. Beachgoers were advised by officials to swim as close to manned lifeguard towers as possible. The event made clear how important it is for local public safety agencies to coordinate their response efforts and provide water rescue training.
