Citrus, FL - Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on W. Red Maple St. in Homosassa, where crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the second floor of a two-story stilt home.

Firefighters quickly initiated an interior fire attack, bringing the fire under control while conducting primary and secondary searches. Crews confirmed no occupants were inside.

The fire is believed to be electrical in nature and caused extensive damage to the home.
