Mutual Aid Crews Worked Together at East Freehold Incident

FREEHOLD, N.J. — May 8th — A structure fire in the East Freehold Fire Company district on East Freehold Road prompted the Freehold Fire Department (Station 15) to react on a mutual assistance assignment. Fire suppression, search, and ventilation operations were aided by Chief 1566, Engine 1575 with five firefighters, and Ladder 1590 with six firefighters.


One of the Freehold firemen received a MAYDAY during the event. The firefighter was swiftly found and taken out of the building by crews. After receiving minor injuries, the firefighter was sent to the hospital for assessment before being discharged later that night. The reaction emphasized the importance of firefighter accountability protocols and coordinated mutual aid operations.
