This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

FAIR HAVEN, N.J. — May 4th — The Shrewsbury Hose Company received mutual aid assistance from Fair Haven Fire Department Station 13-1, which covered the borough while local firefighters dealt with a structure fire. During the incident, Fair Haven personnel were still on hand to respond to emergency calls and provide fire protection coverage. Department representatives offered their support to people impacted by the incident, but no injuries were reported.

A crucial component of Monmouth County's mutual aid system is regional coverage assignments, which enable departments to continue responding to emergencies when nearby agencies are dedicated to major disasters. The reaction showed the ongoing collaboration and coordination that promote local public safety.
