Cooking Fire Sparks Smoke-Filled Mobile Home—Crews Knock It Down Fast

Escambia, FL- Escambia County Fire Rescue units responded to a mobile home fire in the 900 block of Massachusetts Avenue, where crews arrived to find smoke showing and windows darkened by heavy soot.


Firefighters quickly initiated an aggressive interior attack, bringing the fire under control and preventing further damage. Thanks to their rapid response, the home was saved and can be re-occupied following repairs.


Fortunately, the occupants were not home at the time, and there were no reported injuries or fatalities.

The fire was determined to have been caused by a pot left on the stove.
