Fast-Moving Shed Fire Threatens Homes—Quick Actions Save Residenc

Escambia, FL - Escambia County Fire Rescue units responded to a fully involved shed fire in the 400 block of Mandalay Drive, where flames were rapidly spreading and threatening multiple structures, including a primary residence and a nearby home.
Fire crews moved quickly to contain the blaze, successfully protecting the main home and limiting damage to neighboring property. While the original shed and an additional shed were destroyed, the nearby residence sustained only minor heat damage.
The fire was determined to be accidental, caused by a yard debris burn that had not been fully extinguished.
Assisting agencies included the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Escambia County EMS, and Emergency Services Gulf Coast Ladder 34.
