NEWBURGH, NY - Town of Newburgh Police responded to a hit and run MVA on June 2nd on Paddock Place. Vehicle hit County Waste garbage truck and fled. Garbage truck was leaking gasoline-Winona Lake FD/Orange Lake FD were called. Police blocked Paddock Place off-firefighters spread speedy dry and set up booms by catch basin. Representative from County Waste arrived and had cleanup crew and tow truck on its way. Orange Lake Command contacted DEC and was issued spill number. Town of Newburgh Police investigating the cause.
