Deposit, NY - Deposit Fire Department crews responded to a reported residential fire in the Town of Sanford, where a fire had occurred in a crawl space beneath a home.

Upon arrival, the fire was found to have been largely controlled by the homeowner. Firefighters checked for extension into the structure and conducted overhaul operations to ensure complete extinguishment.

The fire was determined to have been caused by fireworks.
