HOMER, N.Y. — May 10th — Homer Fire Department personnel, located at 45 S. At 5062 Forbes Road in the Town of Homer, Main Street responded to a reported car fire. As soon as they arrived, firefighters started suppression efforts to put out the fire and secure the area. The car was found to be a complete loss due to severe damage.

Before cleaning the scene, crews tried to make sure the fire did not spread outside the car and finished overhaul procedures. Incident Commander 564 reported that Homer units had finished their mission and were back in service after the response. There was no immediate information available on injuries or the cause of the fire.
