BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. — May 19th — When a fire occurred on Weaver Road, members of the Bloomingdale, New Jersey, Fire Department's Station 2 at 101 Hamburg Turnpike responded to West Milford on mutual aid. Following the need for additional resources due to a fire involving numerous vehicles, vehicle parts, fuel sources, and a structure, Bloomingdale firemen joined other nearby agencies.
While West Milford units stayed on the scene, crews helped with emergency coverage, water supply operations, and fire suppression. The answer emphasized the value of mutual aid agreements, which enable departments to share staff and equipment in the event of more serious emergencies. After the fire, the West Milford Fire Marshal's Office continued their investigation.
