Montvale, NJ - The Montvale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pickup truck that struck a telephone pole on Upper Saddle River Road. Upon arrival, crews found the pole snapped, blocking the roadway with compromised power lines and intermittent arcing creating a hazardous scene.

Fire units secured the area and operated until utility crews from Orange and Rockland arrived to shut down power, allowing for the safe removal of the vehicle. Crews remained on scene for over an hour managing hazards and assisting with operations before turning the scene over to the utility company.

No injuries were reported.
