On July 2, the Green Knoll Fire Department responded to a car fire on Route 22.

Firefighters tried to put out the blazing car and secure the area after both fire chiefs, Engine 9, Tanker 34, and the Rescue Company arrived on the site. Since the vehicle's fuel tank was involved in the fire, Somerset County Hazmat also responded.

Before leaving the scene, firefighters finished overhaul operations and brought the situation under control. There were no reported injuries.
