Danbury, CT - Danbury firefighters responded to a reported boat fire at the city’s boat launch on Hayestown Road, where all six occupants had safely evacuated prior to crews’ arrival with assistance from the Candlewood Lake Authority.

One individual was transported to a local hospital with a minor burn injury, while a second person was taken for evaluation as a precaution.

Fire crews worked quickly to bring the blaze under control and prevent further damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Danbury Fire Marshal’s Office.
