WHITMAN, MA - Around 9:00 A.M. on the morning of Wednesday, May 31st, the Whitman Fire Department received a call for a motor vehicle accident in front of the US Post Office at the intersection of South Avenue and Laurel Street. Engine-243, Ambulance-248 and Car-3 responded.
Companies signed off with a two-car motor vehicle accident. Command advised that the jaws would be needed for a door pop. The patient was quickly extricated using the hydraulic spreading tool. The occupant was transferred to the care of Ambulance-248. The victim was transported to the South Shore Hospital. The occupant of the other vehicle refused medical attention. The cause of the motor vehicle accident is under investigation.
