Quick Knockdown: Ridgewood Crews Contain Basement Fire, All Residents Safe
Ridgewood, NJ - Members of A Platoon from the Ridgewood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 47 responded to a reported residential basement fire in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
While en route, the captain gathered enough information from dispatch to upgrade the response to a working fire assignment, ensuring additional resources were on the way early.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed all occupants were safely out of the home. Firefighters quickly stretched lines, located the seat of the fire, and brought it under control, limiting further damage. The home was then turned back over to the residents.
Mutual aid was provided by the Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department, whose assistance helped bring the incident to a swift and safe conclusion.
