Vehicle Strikes Building in Newburgh: No Injuries Reported

NEWBURGH, NY - Newburgh Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle MVA with possible entrapment at 196 DuPont Avenue on May 28th. City of Newburgh Police and Empress EMS were on scene. The driver was checked by EMS but refused medical treatment. Firefighters inspected the vehicle and made it safe from hazards. The road was closed until the driver exited the vehicle — no entrapment was found. The vehicle left the road, struck a building, and came to rest by an electric meter. The fire department stood by until the tow truck arrived. City of Newburgh Police are investigating the cause.
