North Bergen, N.J. - On May 6^th, firefighters, local officials, families and friends assembled at the Waterside Restaurant for the promotion of two fire captains and the swearing in of 18 new firefighters, that have completed their training.

The new captains were sworn in by Chief of Department David Donnarumma.  They are Christopher Delplato and Edward Leao.

New firefighters are: Kevin Abreu, John Restrepo, Xavier Rosa, Gianni Notaro, George Cedeno, Kyle Trabucco, David Marcin, Luis Brito Jr., Adrian Inhulsen, Johnathon Rosario, Osvaldo Toledo Negroni, Clayton Castellanos, Andrew Grossi, Jason Castellanos, Louis Westervelt, Jotham McRae, Gerson Bonilla Ventura and David Nunez. 

The probationary firefighters will be assigned to companies in the five municipalities that make up the regional department.  Union City, North Bergen, West New York, Weehawken and Guttenberg.
