Working Fire Contained in Galloway Township Apartment Complex
Ocean Ville, NJ - The Ocean Ville Volunteer Fire Company, alongside the Bayview Volunteer Fire Company, responded to reports of smoke inside a residence on East Cooper Ferry Court in the Smithville section of Galloway Township.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke showing from the structure and quickly declared a working fire. Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack while officers from the Galloway Township Police Department coordinated the evacuation of residents from adjoining apartments.
Thanks to the rapid and coordinated efforts of all responding agencies, the fire was brought under control without any reported injuries to civilians or emergency personnel.
Tragically, one household pet was found deceased within an affected unit.
