Motorcyclist Sent to Hospital After Crashing in Shirley

SHIRLEY, NY - On Friday, May 21st at about 9:38 A.M., the Shirley Ambulance Company and Brookhaven FD were called to Margin Dr. West, near Deer Path, for a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. On arrival, police and EMS found a motorcycle down with the rider on the ground. EMTs and paramedics immediately went to the aid of the rider, who appeared to have sustained minor injuries as he was eventually seen walking under his own power. Brookhaven FD Rescue 3 continued into the scene with a light crew and placed some speedy dry down on a small fluid spill before going back in service. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital and the scene was turned over to police.
