Bloomfield, CT - On 18th May 2026 at approximately 8:00 a.m., firefighters from the Bloomfield Center Fire Department responded with Tanker 26 on a mutual aid assignment to Quarry Road in Simsbury for a reported structure fire in an area with limited access to a water supply, assisting the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company.
Upon arrival, crews immediately supplied all 3,000 gallons of water from Tanker 26 directly into fire operations instead of deploying a drop tank, providing a faster and more efficient water source for firefighters working on scene.
