Fast-Moving Fire Consumes Home on Creek Run Rd. in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Good Will Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 70 Creek Run Road on May 23rd.


Units arrived to find heavy fire and immediately requested a second-alarm sounded, bringing in City of Newburgh FD's FAST, Middle Hope FD's Ladder, Cronomer Valley FD's Engine, and Coldenham FD's FAST to the scene. Town of Newburgh Police had the area blocked off while firefighters extended hand lines to the home that was fully involved. Middle Hope FD extended their ladder to the roof and poured water on the residence. 


Central Hudson was called in for a power cut. Town of Newburgh EMS, Orange County Deputy Fire Coordinator 36-13, and Town of Newburgh Police ID Unit/Fire Investigator were at the scene. Orange Lake FD was moved to the scene for manpower, while New Windsor FD and Plattekill FD were on stand by at Good Will's firehouse. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
