Two Alarm Fire in Fall River

Fall River, Ma. On Monday May 22nd firefighters responded to a still alarm at 296 Calvin Street. Engines 2, 9, 12, along with Ladder 4 and Platform 1 with Heavy Rescue 1 and Car 2 responded. Car 2 arrived on scene on Calvin Street and reported nothing showing. On further investigation the Chief discovered heavy smoke and flame coming from a house one street to the north. Apparatus relocated to 253 Mt Pleasant Street and found a working fire in a one and one half story home. Two attack lines were put into operation and quickly knocked down the fire. Command called for the Fire Investigators and the building inspector to assess damage.
