Two-Alarm Fire in Fall River

FALL RIVER, MA - On Monday, May 22nd, firefighters responded to a still alarm at 296 Calvin Street. Engines 2, 9 and 12, along with Ladder 4 and Platform 1 with Heavy Rescue 1 and Car 2 responded. Car 2 arrived on scene on Calvin Street and reported nothing showing. On further investigation, the Chief discovered heavy smoke and flame coming from a house one street to the north. Apparatus relocated to 253 Mt Pleasant Street and found a working fire in a one-and-a-half-story home. Two attack lines were put into operation and quickly knocked down the fire. Command called for the fire investigators and the building inspector to assess damage.
