South Hempstead Firefighters Responded to Car Fire Near Peninsula Boulevard Ramp

SOUTH HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — 26th April — On the approach connecting the eastbound Southern State Parkway to the northbound Peninsula Boulevard, the South Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department, situated at 555 May St. in South Hempstead, NY, United States, 11550, responded to a confirmed automobile fire. When firefighters arrived on the site, they discovered a flaming car and activated Engine 742's hand line.
The fire was swiftly contained by crews, who also stopped it from spreading. Before firefighters arrived, every passenger safely got out of the car, and no injuries were recorded. While emergency personnel worked along the major street, traffic in the area was slowed down. The response, according to officials, demonstrated the department's ongoing preparedness for vehicle and roadway fire accidents across the district.
