The Bohemia Fire Department was called to a reported vehicle fire on May 9 at around 3:45 a.m.

Arriving chiefs saw a completely involved truck with flames spreading into surrounding bush, according to officials. Soon after, Engine 7 arrived and started suppression efforts by stretching a hoseline. Firefighters swiftly contained the fire and stopped it from spreading farther into the surrounding region.
