Multiple Agencies Assisted at Cortland Vehicle Fire Scene

CORTLAND, NY — April 26th — The Department Cortlandville Fire Department responded to the intersection of Lighthouse Hill and Locust Avenue in the Town of Cortlandville for a reported vehicle fire. When the Homer Police Department arrived first, they discovered a fully involved car fire. No injuries were reported as firefighters used suppression lines to put out the fire.


While workers worked and removed the area, the junctions of Albany Street, Locust Avenue, and Lighthouse Hill were closed for approximately forty-five minutes. The Cortland County Highway Department and the New York State Police also helped with roadway operations and traffic management.
