Over the course of a hectic weekend on April 24 and 25, members of the Trough Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Company handled numerous accidents and departmental operations.

Ten firefighters from Squad and Special Unit 21 reacted to a motorbike accident in the 17 box area on Friday night, according to officials. While the victim received advanced life support care from a department paramedic, members set up a landing zone for STAT MedEvac 13.

Firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision in Cass Township on Saturday night and stayed there until a tow company showed up.

Along with announcing that three members had successfully finished the burn section of their Essentials of Firefighting training, the department also staged its chicken BBQ fundraiser on Sunday.
