Chambersburg, Pa. — June 10 — In the 500 block of East Liberty Street, Franklin Fire Company was called to a reported house fire. When the first crews arrived, smoke was visible while Squad 41 searched every floor. Ladder 42 positioned its aerial, gained access to the building from East Catherine Street, and helped with roof overhaul and ventilation.
Firefighters swiftly got the little kitchen fire under control after determining that it had not spread beyond its original location.
Squad 41 and Ladder 42 responded to Wilson College for a fire alarm activation after clearing the area, and they worked to reset the building's fire alarm system.
